Il progetto sviluppa un lavoro sulla Memoria legata ad un luogo in cui il Corpo è presente ovunque in quanto “luogo di cura”: un Sanatorio di inizio secolo, trasformato dal tempo e nel tempo. 

Ormai abbandonato, decaduto, crollato, “squarciato”, nel percorrerlo si incontrano “segni” da leggere e decifrare, dai quali farsi suggestionare, lasciando affiorare immagini, sensazioni, suoni, che il Corpo filtra e reinterpreta attraverso il movimento. 

Questi segni sono le tracce di corpi e vite che da li sono passati ma che non esistono più, e disegnano una "Mappa della Memoria” che è Presenza di un’Assenza.

Una Memoria non lineare ma piuttosto costituita da frammenti, ricordi sfuocati alternati a immagini nitide, che il movimento traduce in atti corporei discontinui.

Il Sanatorio ha attraversato diverse fasi e funzioni: Luogo di cura, Colonia Estiva e, dopo l’abbandono, un Non-Luogo fruibile e “violabile” da chiunque. 

E’ proprio in quest’ultima fase che si inserisce questo progetto: 

quattro spazi, quattro diverse suggestioni che muovono il corpo , quattro Cartoline spedite idealmente nel futuro verso un destinatario imprecisato per contribuire a tramandare la memoria di un posto che prima o poi scomparirà.

Ogni stanza ha un suo “racconto” che vive attraverso un movimento, un gesto, una danza.

The project develops the concept of Memory tied to a place where the Body is present everywhere, as it is a nursing home: a sanitarium of the beginning of the century transformed in time and by time passing.

The sanitarium is abandoned, ruined, in decay, “torn”; by exploring it you find “signs” to read, to decipher and by which you are influenced, giving rise to images, sensations, sounds, that the Body filters and re-interprets through movement.

These signs are traces of bodies and lives, that have passed by those places, but no longer exist; they draw a “Map of Memories”, that is an Existence of Absence.

The memory is not linear, but rather made up of fragments, blurred memories alternated by defined images, that movement translates in discontinuous corporal actions.

The sanitarium has passed different phases and functions: nursing home, holiday resort, and after the decay, a non-place enjoyed end “trespassed” by anybody.

Four different rooms, four different emotions that move the body, four different postcards virtually sent to the future to an unknown addressee, to contribute to hand down the memory of a place that sooner or later will disappear. Every room has its story, that lives through a movement, a gesture, a dance.
